Database Administrator

Our rapidly-expanding Christchurch R&D team is seeking a Senior DBA to help us with our large realtime Postgres system.

You’ll identify, address & resolve day to day issues, as well as planning, designing and implementing strategies to enhance the performance and efficiency of our systems.

The ideal candidate will be a computer science graduate with at least 5 years IT commercial experience, some of which will have been spent working with high transaction volume databases. Candidates with other degrees and relevant database skills will be considered. Telogis operates a large postgis installation, so Postgres experience would be a great advantage.

To succeed in this role you’ll need a pragmatic, flexible approach and outstanding, systematic problem-solving skills. You’re a strong team player but able to work autonomously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
